Startup pioneers technology for paralyzed people
Synchron, a startup from New York, creates groundbreaking technology that helps paralyzed people do basic computer tasks. This involves a brain implant that senses brain signals. Rodney Gorham, who lives in Melbourne and has ALS, played a key role in testing. Now, he can select letters on a screen using his eyes and "click" on words just by thinking. Synchron aims to get approval next year to sell the improved device officially.
