Birmingham headlines 14 August: Man shot on Bridge Street in Wednesbury
West Midlands Police are investigating after a man was shot in Wednesbury in the early hours on Sunday. The victim, in his 30s, has potentially life-changing injuries, and was dropped off at hospital by a Mercedes at around 4am.
Police have seized two guns and ammunition in a car in Selly Oak. Officers said that they stopped a car travelling along Dawlish Road last Wednesday evening. A pistol and ammunition were found within the vehicle, and a sawn-off shotgun was found at an address. Four people have been charged.
