On Monday, the administration issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC in Gurugram and ordered all schools and educational institutions in the district to remain shut on Tuesday in view of the communal violence reported in Nuh district. 1 civilian and two home guards were killed and more than 200 people were injured and dozens of vehicles were set on fire as mobs in Haryana’s Nuh and Gurugram districts tried to stop a religious procession by the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Monday. The effect of the violence in Nuh spilt over into Badshahpur on Tuesday. Fourteen shops were vandalised in the main market as nearly 200 men on motorbikes and SUVs targeted outlets, mostly selling dishes like biryani and other food stalls. However, once we asked about the condition in Gurugram main city, we got to know that the condition in the main city is quite normal. We spoke to two corporate employees living and working in Gurugram. Let’s hear what they had to say.
