A Barbie fan built a fully-functioning Barbie-themed computer complete with pink decals and a doll inside.

Christina Liu, 24, spent a week building the machine, which costed £2,014 ($2600).

The PC is designed for gaming, and has top-of-the-range components that facilitate high-speed functions.

Tech content creator Christina was inspired by the blockbuster film's release.

Christina, from San Jose, California, USA, said she never had the chance to play with Barbies as a child, so this was an opportunity to show off her skills.

She said: "I've always been drawn to the Barbie brand but was never able to have one as a kid. I felt inspired to build a computer themed around it since that's my hobby."

Footage shows the process of how Christina built the PC and applied all the features, which included space for a doll inside, as well as a moving GIF from the film inside.

Christina added: "This space isn't one that traditionally caters to women, so it's hard to find affordable hardware in the right shade of pink.

"That's why I custom-painted the case to match the Barbie theme.

"I had about a week from ideation to execution, painting the PC case took about three days since I needed to wait for the paint to fully cure.

"The vinyl wrap took a few days to arrive. After I had that, I built the PC in a couple of hours."

Christina makes tech tutorials geared towards girls getting into tech.

She said this is one of her favourite builds to date - only trumped by her "cooling Boba" set-up - which saw Boba bubble tea used as a cooling system in the machine.
