Scientists from Cardiff University have been granted close to a quarter of a million pounds to fund research into new cancer treatment. The project will look into triple negative breast cancer, which becomes resistant to chemotherapy, and will aim to find a way of preventing this in the future.
Gwynedd council has become the latest local authority to fund free school meals through the summer holidays after the Welsh government said they didn’t have the money to fund the scheme. Gwynedd follows Caerphilly, Powys and Blaenau Gwent in using council budgets to provide families in need with cash through the 6 weeks.
Wales will play their first game at the Racecourse Ground since 2019, when they take on Gibraltar in a friendly match on October 11th. FAW CEO Noel Mooney said he was incredibly excited to bring football back to the north, and hope the team can put on a performance to be proud of against the Gibraltarians.
