North Korea silent on detention of US soldier who crossed border
North Korea remains silent regarding an American soldier who crossed the heavily fortified border between the Koreas, despite conducting a test of short-range missiles. Private 2nd Class Travis King's fate remains unknown after almost a day since his entry into North Korea. The missile launches were likely a separate protest against the deployment of a US nuclear-armed submarine in South Korea, unrelated to King's border crossing.
