WMO: ‘surge’ in global temperature likely seen due to El Niño
Wilfran Moufouma-Okia, the head of regional climate prediction services at the World Meteorological Organization, says that the weather phenomenon of El Nino is likely to 'surge' global temperatures this year. El Nino is a natural climate pattern that raises temperatures worldwide, along with droughts and catastrophic rainfall in certain regions.
