Moroccan women shake up world of traditional Gnaoua music

Young Moroccan women are bringing new and inclusive energy to the centuries-old art of Gnaoua, a spiritual musical repertoire traditionally reserved for men, which was recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
