The journey over saw me run into a little bit of trouble, where a lovely grey nomad couple came to my aid, and had me smiling cheek to cheek in doing so!
In return for the good help and conversation with these lovely people, I gifted them my last remaining kilogram of Pink Snapper fillets, as a small thank you, with full confidence that I would have no issue in catching myself some more!
So that brings us to here.. The anticipation for this moment was huge, and I had never been so excited to wake up and get stuck into a day like this ever before.
With only myself in my company on this entire trip, I had honestly made the effort to ask multiple people that I had crossed paths with if they would like to join me on my boat for a fish, free of charge, all I would ask is for some good company but to NO AVAIL!
It turns out that nobody wanted to fish with me?! You fools!
Being on my own wasn't going to stop me, as I knew that was a very real possibility all along. So I applied the six P's (prior preparation prevents p*ss poor performance) and went on my merry way to get the job done SOLO!
I was a little nervous, which I openly admit, as there is always a real risk involved with beach launching a boat and having your 4x4 on the sand near the ocean. Doing this alone, at least doubles that risk factor, so there was little room for error.
I decided to document the entire process from start to finish, to give every single one of you an insight of what really goes into something like this, as well as an appreciation for the amount of effort required to catch these fish!
Whether it went well or not was uncertain, but what was certain, would be that regardless of the outcome of this day, I'd be capturing it all on film!
Please enjoy this episode as it was truly the best day of my life so far and I am so proud of myself for what I achieved on this day, and equally, the way that I have captured it, to share with YOU.
If you're reading this bottom line, you're a legend, I can't wait to see you in the next episode where I do it all again, and then forever more in what is yet to come!
Thank you and tight lines!
