A 50 year-old man has died in a property in Glasgow’s east end after being seriously injured.

He has been named locally as Stuart Williams and was pronounced dead at the scene upon police arrival.

Officers said the cause of death is currently unclear and inquiries are underway.

Next, emergency crews were called to Cowcaddens subway station after a man became trapped between the carriage and platform.

It is understood the incident occurred at lunchtime on 27 June on the train running through the outer circle.

Passengers were evacuated while fire crews attended the scene.

And in other news, music fans will be delighted to hear that the legendary rock band Foo Fighters will be playing at Hampden Park in June next year.

The announcement comes just days after their Glastonbury performance and will be the first time the band play in Glasgow in almost five years.
