Zero casualties amid Mayon eruption but evacuation centers crowded -- PDRRMC
Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) officer-in-charge Eugene Escobar says there has been no casualties so far following the eruption of Mayon Volcano. The families who voluntarily went home and left evacuation camps were living outside the 6-kilometer danger zone. He added that depending on recommendations by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), more families may be evacuated if Mayon's volcanic activities escalate.
