In a concerning turn of events, millions of Baby Shark toys are being recalled due to reports of children being injured by them. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has taken action by recalling 7.5 million Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing and Swim Bath Toys. These toys, mostly full-size measuring about 7" from nose to tail, were sold individually and in packs of three. Additionally, approximately 1 million mini-sized toys measuring about 4" are also included in the recall. The affected toys were available for purchase at major retailers such as Walmart, Target, and online platforms nationwide.
The full-size Baby Shark bath toys were sold between May 2019 and March 2023, priced at $13 to $15. Meanwhile, the Mini Baby Shark bath toys, sold individually and in multi-unit packs, were available from July 2020 to June 2023, with prices ranging from $6 to $20. This recall serves as an urgent reminder to prioritize child safety and highlights the need for vigilance when selecting toys for young ones.
