Hollywood writers continue protest in LA for new contract with studios
Fifty days into a strike with no end in sight, about 1,000 Hollywood writers and their supporters march and rally in Los Angeles for a new contract with studios that includes payment guarantees and job security. Talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the group representing studios in negotiations, have not resumed since breaking off hours before the writers’ contract expired on May 1.
