A child has died following a collision in Yardley on Thursday. West Midlands Police has arrested a 32 year old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and being unfit through drugs. West Midlands Police said they are supporting the family.
A football fan who racially abused a police officer at a match has been banned from attending any game for four years. Ian Hardley from Kent was charged with a public order offence, pleading guilty at Birmingham Magistrates Court. He was also ordered to pay a total of £519.
Budget airliner RyanAir has announced seven new routes from Birmingham Airport in time for this summer. The new destinations include Barcelona, Billund, Pisa, Santader, Stockholm, Toulouse and Venice.
