On International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, a Greater Manchester borough began its annual Pride celebrations with a ceremonial flag raise.
Trafford Council and leaders of Pride in the borough gathered at Sale Town Hall on Wednesday May 17 and held an opening ceremony for the four-day arts festival celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
The event included a choir performance from local primary school children, and speeches from leaders in the borough.
Trafford Pride will be running from Wednesday 17 - Saturday 20 May and brings together an exciting range of performances for Mancunians to get involved with.
There will be cabaret, comedy, theatre and artwork running throughout the festival, to celebrate queer artists and LGBTQ+ identity.
