A 30-year-old man has endured serious injuries after being attacked by a group of men in the city.

Police Scotland received a report stating three or four men were involved, all described as being white, in their 30s and dressed in all black.

Enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being treated in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Next up, a record 14,000 people braved the rainy weather to participate in Glasgow’s Kiltwalk, raising money for almost 900 charities.

Three different routes took walkers across the city, Clydebank and Loch Lomond.

It was led by Sir Tom Hunter who said the day was ‘phenomenal’.

And in other news, Glasgow City Council are urging people to plan ahead for the enforcement of the Low Emission Zone.

The new policy will exclude the most polluting vehicles from the city centre to protect public health from air pollution, which comes into force on 1 June.
