Food inflation has hit another record high, according to the latest figures, as the pressure continues to build for everyday household budgets. Seeing the sharpest incline in 45 years, the price of food and non-alcoholic drinks remains on the up even as non-food retail spring discounting means smaller price growth in those areas.
