Friends welcome to the new episode of spiti 2.0 exploring Rakcham. It was supposed to be a rest day. our plan was to stay for one day but the awesome location and weather,
compelled us to extend our stay. Folktales residency, our home stay was amazing and the location is like a dream, between an apple orchard, surrounded by trees and good vibes. We can also see peaks covered with fresh snow. The only problem was the rain, if it started to rain we had to change our plans for further journeys.
We were amazed by the beauty of nature. Sangla is a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains on the banks of river Baspa. It is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever visited in my life.
Rakcham is also a famous location for bouldering, this we came to know while chatting with locals. Many famous rock climbers visit rakcham from all over the world.
Finally the kinnauri apple, well thanks to the locals we were able to taste the farm fresh apples, and frankly these were the best apples i ever had. The thing which hurt most was the behaviour of Tourists with locals, they entered apple orchards forcefully, plucking apples and abusing caretakers. Worst part is that we met a sweet lady who is more than 80 years old and she is having an apple orchard on the road to rakcham, and she was abused and assaulted by some tourists while she objected to them from plucking apples from her farm.
It was a very shameful act indeed as interfering with the lives of locals should not be encouraged.
Well we should act responsible. So friends hope you will enjoy the video and views.
