The Chief Justice of this country says that "at some level we need to trust our judicial officers to exercise discretion" with regard to the granting of bail.
Chief Justice Ivor Archie was responding to concerns about the granting of bail and constant adjournments in certain criminal matters within the Caribbean Community raised by Heads of Government of Caricom.
