Old Firm Derby CHAOS as Celtic Women's Boss Fran Alonso is HEADBUTTED by Rangers Coach

The women's Old Firm clash between Rangers and Celtic descended into chaos tonight as a Light Blues coach at full-time seemingly attacked Fran Alonso.

It looked like Rangers were taking the three points from the fixture after Brogan Hay fired her side ahead in the first half.

Celtic star Caitlyn Hayes scored a dramatic equalizer in the NINTH minute of stoppage time to level the scoring and secure a point for the Hoops.

A win for either side would have blown the title race wide open but instead, they both handed Glasgow City a huge boost after the fixture ended in a 1-1 draw.

And the lively derby clash then sparked a wild incident at the end of the match as both sets of players and coaches shook hands at full-time.

Gers coach Craig McPherson was seen running up to Celtic boss Alonso and appeared to headbutt him from behind.

Alonso claimed after the match that he was getting called a "little rat" during the explosive end to the derby.

Addressing the incident on Sky Sports after the match, he said: "As you can see from there [the pictures], someone came in from behind.

"I never talk to him the whole game. It’s always disappointing to concede a goal at the last minute. I get it. I was called a little rat, I don't know why.

Rangers boss Malky Thomson revealed when asked for his perspective that he would launch a probe into the dramatic scenes.

He said: "Without me seeing it I wouldn't comment. If that is the case there will be an investigation and we will look at it."

Scotland captain Rachel Corsie said: "It's a bad incident. We've seen the replay and you can see he looks animated, so it suggests there's maybe something before that.

"But either way that can't be happening in football at all. It isn't very pleasant. As Malky [Thomson] said, it leaves a sour taste a little bit on what's been otherwise a great spectacle, a great game, a great occasion."

The police, SFA, Rangers, and Celtic have been contacted for comment on the incident.
