Venus Flytraps are one of the most impressive carnivorous plants. The way they have evolved to catch insects is incredible and breathtaking. These are smart plants, research says they can even count as well.
And to see them snapping shut over a prey is even astounding. The deadly speed and mechanism of catching prey is nothing short of a wonder.
"I was telling my son about these insect-eating plants," shares the filmer, Derek Christensen, with WooGlobe. "Luckily, I was able to demonstrate it for him."
And from what we can see, the toddler sure is fascinated by the trigger mechanism and snapping of the Venus Flytrap. This is a learning moment for him, and the dad has managed to make it entertaining as well. The rest of the show is all on Venus Flytrap itself.
