A mental health nurse from Liverpool has been removed from the nursing profession after making explicit and racist sexual comments to a junior colleague at Clock View Hospital in 2018. Michael Turner's offensive behaviour included discussing sexual acts. The Nursing and Midwifery Council found that Turner's behaviour had made his colleague uncomfortable and he was consequently removed from his role at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
A 25-year-old man who died following a car crash on Speke Boulevard late on Sunday night has been named as Oliver Fitchett. Fitchett's blue Ford Focus crashed with a black Mercedes car after he celebrated Mother's Day with his family. Another man was taken to hospital with minor facial injuries but was discharged later.
