Glasgow’s International Comedy Festival has officially taken off, launching with a show by Zoe Lyon at the Oran Mor.
Over 400 shows are scheduled to take place over the next 18 days in 40 venues throughout the city, including Blackfriars Bar, the Stand and the Glee Club.

Next up, Govan’s five-day music festival has also begun, where six events will take place, catered to a range of tastes.
Eight local school choirs will be performing in Glasgow’s Southside alongside World music,Hip-hop, Dance and Classical shows.

And finally, the Glasgow Short Film Festival will begin on 22 March, showcasing new talent and the work of emerging Scottish visual artists.
This is the largest competitive short film festival in Scotland and aims to provide a space for audiences and filmmakers to collaborate.
This will be taking place at the Glasgow Film Theatre, and tickets can be purchased online.
