The authorities will send food worth RM615,000 to states that affected by floods, says Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
The Women, Family and Community Development Minister on Sunday (March 5) said the food aid was still in the process of being delivered and it was hoped that it would be sufficient to meet the needs of the flood victims.
Nancy also said humanitarian aid from fellow Malaysians was needed as their expenses had exceeded the funding given by the government, adding that her ministry also sent personnel from several other states to flood-affected states, especially Johor, which is the worst hit by floods now.
