The prince and princess of Wales have visited Wales to help launch a number of therapy gardens and allotments as part of their community impact plans. The pair visited a leisure centre and an air ambulance base before their final engagement at the Brynawel Rehabilitation site near Pontyclun where some of the allotments will be erected.
There are fears a proposed housing development on the outskirts on Cardiff could lead to massive delays. The new site would have 2500 homes, but a councillor for the area Councillor Emma Reid-Jones says she fears chaos across the ward during the building process. The council will make a decision on the plans later this week.
The Senedd’s climate change committee is encouraging the Welsh government to help people make their homes greener through zero-interest loans. The committee have said people fitting their homes with heat pumps and other green solutions would help tackle climate change and help lower bills.
