“Erin’s Guide to Kissing Girls” is a lovable, queer coming-of-age comedy that follows a group of eighth-grade students exploring love, friendship, and identity.
Editor Caitlynn McDaniel spoke with the writer and director Julianna Notten all about the making of the film and why the media needs more stories about queer youth.
“I think this age group, a lot of people don't want to touch it because they don't think that people will take it seriously, but it's just such a shame that young queer people just never get to see themselves represented on screen as a result of that.”
