Thousands have been left dead and many more in dire need of assistance following the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake.
The tragedy has prompted hundreds of people across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands to respond to pleas to help the victims.
International charity ISRA UK, based in Sparkhill, launched an urgent appeal for warm clothes, sanitary items and essential provisions to be sent over to the disaster stricken region. It was inundated with donations within 24-hours.
The charity has been working in Turkey for many years to share aid and humanitarian relief and presently has team members on the ground in the earthquake affected regions of Turkey assisting those in need.
