On February 14, New Zealand declared a National State of Emergency. This comes amid flooding, landslides and widespread damage caused due to Cyclone Gabrielle. The National State of Emergency will apply to Northland, Auckland, Tairawhiti, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Hawkes Bay, as per the New Zealand Government press release.
