A man has been jailed for 10 and a half years for wounding with intent, following an attack at a property in Aberavon involving a crossbow. 51 year old Adam Caplan shot a 32 year old male victim following an altercation. A detective with South Wales Police said he is glad the sentencing shows the severity of the crime.

The Welsh Ambulance Service have revealed some of the more inappropriate calls to 999 over the last year, while urging the public to use the service only when necessary. Some of the calls included someone losing their house keys, another with an ingrown toenail and someone who had run out of plasters.
