Delays for football fans heading to Celtic park for the Scottish Cup match with St Mirren avoided today following a fire at a nearby recycling centre on Wednesday.
Emergency services rushed to Nuneaton Street in Bridgeton on Wednesday after they received reports of an early morning fire.
Crews are still on the scene today to dampen the blaze but surrounding roads have been opened and major congestion avoided.
Police said: "We continue to support the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service as it manages the fire in Nuneaton Street. As a result road closures in the area remain in place.
