Glasgow headlines 31 January: Man charged after assault of 13-year-old in Clydebank

A man has been charged after a 13-year-old boy was assaulted on Great Western Road in Clydebank.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said he is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court in due course.

Next up, a bus which was set to travel from Glasgow’s Buchanan Street bus station to Aberdeen caught fire mid-journey, causing all passengers to be evacuated.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service stayed at the scene until it was deemed safe and confirmed there were no injuries.

And lastly, Glasgow City Council has approved plans for a late night cafe to be developed in the Southside.

The new business is set to operate from a former news agents and will be open from eight am until ten pm, seven days a week.

It will be the first of its kind in the area.
