Composed by Frank Loesser and Burton Lane, “Says My Heart” was among the most popular tunes of 1938. It was introduced onscreen by Harriet Hilliard in the now-rarely-seen Paramount musical “Cocoanut Grove,” which starred not Ozzie Nelson, but Fred MacMurray as Harriet’s leading man. Ozzie & Harriet’s recording is also included in this 1938 collection.
