A high school footballer was given a huge shock when he ran out onto the field to discover his military dad had returned home from deployment. Kael Gorski, 17, was stunned to see his father, Master Sgt. Josh Gorski, who immediately headed towards his son for an emotional embrace. The game was the first time Master Sgt. Gorski had seen his son play football this season, having previously been serving in the South Pacific for three months with the U.S. Army. Kael is a junior at Perry-Lecompton High School in Perry, Kansas, and the moment took place on October 15 2021. The surprise was a collaborative effort between Josh and his girlfriend, Felicity Ross, who contacted the school and its athletic department to arrange the surprise.
