A special Umno general assembly will be held to amend two clauses in the party's constitution, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
The Umno secretary-general on Monday (Dec 26) said the first amendment is that all information chiefs will automatically be appointed representatives to the Umno general assembly every year, while the second amendment states that any Umno member will have their membership revoked if they leave the party after becoming assemblymen or MPs or if they contest as an independent at polls or as a candidate for another party.
