Charity discusses impact of rising living costs for sex workers

The cost of living crisis is making things tougher for many, but for sex workers, it's said to be making their job more dangerous as they say they are having to accept more potentially dangerous clients and work longer hours. ITV News has been speaking to Basis Yorkshire, an organisation in Leeds which offers support to sex workers. They provide everything from giving out mobile phones to making sure women are fed and have access to health services. Amber Wilson, who works for the charity, tells ITV News about the effects that rising living costs are having on some of the women, saying: "When they come to us, it's usually around utility bills, not being able to afford food. Sex workers are having to negotiate harder, and clients are pushing the boundaries a little bit more about what they can get for their money." Report by Patelr.
