A woman shared her "depressing" Spotify Wrapped style summary of her year of dating - including a first date at a work do. Alexandria McLean, 27, revealed the highs and lows of her chaotic dating life in 2022. She mimicked the Spotify Wrapped marketing campaign - but instead of a compilation of data about music habits, she made it about her love life exploits for the year. After quitting dating for two years she had a "hot girl summer" and went on 21 first dates - none of which she arranged IRL. Her dating highs include a fun 'skee-ball' first date, making it to five dates with 19% of the guys and finding out what she wants in a partner. Her lows include crying over two men, having an "existential crisis" when she dated an older man, and doing finger guns when someone went in for a kiss. One of Alexandria's worst first dates was when someone took her to a work PR event. "He got invited to a PR even in the city and he didn't think he would know anyone but he knew everybody there," said Alexandria from Toronto, Ontario. "Everyone thought we were in a long-term relationship. If I had known him, it would have been fun, but we had just met. "We went out for dinner afterwards and I ended up ending it with him afterwards but we reconnected later in the year in September." Speaking of making her 'wrapped' she added: "It's truly one of the most depressing things I've ever done. "Looking back, I reflected on it and I have grown so much as a person and become more confident even though none of them worked out." Alexandria met 66% of her dates on Bumble, 33% on Hinge and none in real life. Some 44% of her first dates were an activity and dinner, 28% were coffee and walking dates and drinks were 42%. She saw half of them for a second date, 19% were two dates and 30% of dates she saw five times. Only 19% of her dates ended it with her and she ended things with 47.6% of men - 33.3% ended things mutually. She said: "I don't know why I went on so many walking dates - I hate walking dates. "I don't know why men think I'm a dog; I'm not, I'm a human being. "I didn't realise I didn't like walking dates until I reflected on it. "You feel like you have to talk the entire time and fill the silence with awkward small talk." Alexandria's favourite first dates comprise of activities and drinks and a highlight of her year in dates was when a man took her to an arcade bar and they played skee-ball. Skee-ball is an arcade game where you pelt a ball into different hoops. She said: "It says on my dating profile I like skee-ball and he took me to an arcades bar and then went bar hopping it was so fun." Another time Alexandria went on a first date with a man who asked if she was called 'Alexandria' or 'Alexander'- she never saw him again. Alexandria shared some of her dating faux-pas. "Sometimes I feel like I'm a stand-up comedian and I crack jokes forgetting I've just met these people," she said. "I was at dinner with a guy and I don't usually kiss people on first dates, and he hugged me goodbye. "It lingered and he pulled back, I looked at him dead in the eye - and gave him finger guns." 'Finger guns' remained on the scene after bumping into Alexandria in a bar, but it fizzled and he eventually ghosted her. She said: "It was understandable - I did finger guns." Despite loving stand-up comedy, Alexandria advises not to go for a gig on a first date. She said: "One of the comedians said 'everyone clap if you're horny' and he was the only one to clap. "It gave me the ick. "He also kept asking if I wanted to go outside to make-out." Now she won't date anyone above the age of 32. After her whirlwind year of romance, Alexandria has six key things she now looks for in a partner. These include good communication, someone who is quirky and unique, someone who pushes her to be a better version of herself, someone who is ambitious, someone who is funny and someone who can be her best friend. Her red flags on dating profiles are making fun of women, shirtless gym selfies and strong political views she doesn't agree with. "Online dating sometimes feels like a second job, so the moment it feels like that, I step away," she said. "When it comes to dating I try to throw stereotypes out of the window and this year I have started seeing someone after chatting and getting on after two days, rather than waiting two weeks. "I'm excited to start the year fresh and I want the boys to know it's all love and I'm glad they were a part of the experience."
