A 23-year-old man on Wednesday was arrested by the police for throwing eggs at King Charles and Queen Consort, Camilla, during a walkabout in York. He was arrested under the charge of disturbing public order. The accused, a University of York student, was heard shouting, “this country was built on the blood of slaves,” and “not my king”, while throwing the eggs as the king and consort were being welcomed by city leaders.
