"The whole hill fell down and all the houses were affected, many people were injured," says Richar Vadagreda, who lives in the area.
Nearly 80 people have died across the country as a result of heavy rainfall in recent weeks, 54 of them in the landslide of 8 October in Las Tejerías, a town in the central-northern state of Aragua, according to official reports.
