The tragedy of the Halloween party in Itaewon, Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday (29/10) night became the deadliest incident for the Ginseng Country since 2014 when the MV Sewol ship sank and killed 299 people. The death toll in the Halloween tragedy in Itaewon to date is 154 people. A total of 26 of the dead were foreign nationals. Hundreds of other people were also injured in the incident. Itaewon Tragedy Update: Death toll Becomes 154 People including Artists Until now, the South Korean authorities are still investigating this tragedy and have not been able to conclude the cause of 154 people died after they suffered a sudden heart attack in the area. However, some believe that the dense crowd of people who wanted to party in the Itaewon club and bar area was one of the reasons why hundreds of people died from lack of oxygen. The location of the incident is a 50-meter narrow alley that connects the busy restaurant, club and bar district with the main road. About six adults could barely pass at the same time in the alley. Meanwhile, nearly 100,000 people visited the area for Halloween celebrations after two years of lockdown. Most of the victims who died in the Itaewon tragedy were youths in their 20s and the majority of them were women as many as 98 people.
