For more than 10 years, one South Oropouche family says they’ve been owed money by the government.
As part of the Point Fortin Highway project, five plots of their land were identified for compulsory acquisition and a sum of payment was agreed upon since 2012.
However, they tell our reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh that to date, no money has been released and equipment moved onto the land a few months ago.
