छोटी दिवाली सौन्दर्य प्राप्ति और आयु प्राप्ति का दिन भी माना जाता है. इस दिन आयु के देवता यमराज और सौन्दर्य के प्रतीक शुक्र की उपासना की जाती है. इस दिन श्रीकृष्ण की उपासना भी की जाती है क्योंकि इसी दिन उन्होंने नरकासुर का वध किया था. कहीं कहीं पर ये भी माना जाता है की आज के दिन हनुमान जी का जन्म हुआ था. जीवन में आयु या स्वास्थ्य की अगर समस्या हो तो इस दिन के प्रयोगों से दूर हो जाती है.
