The Green River Bridge at Spottsville, Kentucky, was partially demolished on Wednesday (19 October) at 9 am.The destruction of the main truss was the second part of a four-part demolition process.The two last blasts are scheduled and will take out the piers.The 797-foot-long structure was built as a toll bridge and opened to traffic in 1931.The new bridge , already in service, has cost over $32 million.Source: Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2
