There are 13 vacancies in the Meteorological Services Division.
But, its line Minister says this is not having any adverse impact on the Met Service's ability to forecast the weather.
The Public Utilities Minister gave the assurance as... one Opposition MP says... the Met Service has an important role to play especially with alerting the nation to the potential for adverse weather.
