The Tobacco and Smoking Control Bill was not put to a vote after it was debated in Dewan Rakyat today, as was widely expected. The bill, which includes a section dubbed as the ‘Generational Endgame’ to ban anyone born after 2007 from smoking, was instead referred to a Parliamentary Special Select Committee for further deliberation.
