Very little is known about this orchestra. It was one of the many bands led by Sam Lanin. This outfit included outstanding jazz musicians; indeed, personnel included Mike Moisiello and Jules Levy (t); Miff Mole (tb); Larry Abbott and Arnold Billhardt (cl-as-ss); Morris Dixon (cl-ts); Harry Perrella (p); Tony Colucci (bj); Bill Short (bb); Irving Farbermann (d). He is a major influence in the field of country music, although in the first place he recorded for Edison. From 1916 until more or less 1923, using numerous pseudonyms, he made over 400 recordings of light classical Musik and early dance band vocals for various record labels. The present recording was made in 1924.
