Meet the three-year-old snowboarder who has been ‘shredding’ since before she could walk. Erin Georger, 41, and her partner Dave Georger, 43, introduced Ellery to snowboarding when she was just four months old. Erin said that Ellery started riding outside and in parks at 17 months old. She began to ride independently by being attached to her dad with a long safety harness, which kept her stable and safe whilst she learned how to control the board. They said she is definitely hooked on the sport and trains with them at every opportunity - she watches snowboarding videos on TV all day and even practices with her snowboard inside the house during summer. Erin, who is a stay-at-home mum, said that Ellery loves to challenge herself and she really enjoys mastering difficult skills. Ellery also has two older brothers, Logan and Declan, that started snowboarding at a young age and have even built their own ramp in the garden to practice on. She said: “We all have a passion for snowboarding. She comes from a whole family filled with avid snowboarders. “Her older brothers have been a great inspiration for her. She always wants to do the tricks they’re doing. She loves riding in the backyard on the ramp they built.” Although she is too young to enter any formal tournaments, competitive snowboarding is definitely something that the mini super-snowboarder will be looking to do in the future. Erin said: “She watches competitions on the TV all the time. I think it’s safe to say she’s hooked on the sport, as is the whole family!” The couple, from Boston, New York, have been sharing their daughter's snowboarding talents online, along with their entire families ‘shred adventures’. Erin described just how proud she is that her daughter has followed in their footsteps and shares their passion for their favorite sport. Their plan for the future is to keep encouraging Ellery to enjoy herself, train as much as she likes and let her try new tricks and push herself safely.
