Police personnel were deployed outside AIADMK office in Chennai on September 2. The security was beefed up after Madras HC upheld the validity of the AIADMK General Council meeting in favour of E Palaniswami. The court had also ordered the conduct of a fresh general council meeting of the AIADMK.
