TV legend Mr Motivator is helping would-be grooms and brides get into shape – by charging thousands of pounds to appear at stag and hen dos. The iconic lycra wearing star - real name Derrick Evans - was a staple on ITV's GMTV from 1993 until 2000, helping the nation keep healthy. And he believes he is the best man to help stag and hen parties get motivated for a wild night on the tiles. The 69-year-old fitness fanatic is charging thousands of pounds to be a celebrity guest for nearly-weds on their big night. He said: “At my age you don’t get to go on as many stags as you’d like, so the prospect of doing so while meeting my fans feels really fun and exciting. “Since first appearing on TV almost 30 years ago, I’ve had the chance to meet some wonderful people, and I’m thrilled to do anything that gives me the chance to connect with the fans who grew up watching me. “I think this is a brilliant, unique idea that can enhance what will already be one of the best weekends of the stag or hen’s life. “And even if a stag or hen weekend isn’t exactly known for health and fitness, I hope I can still pass on some tips on how to stay fit and healthy when they get home.” One of Britain’s biggest stag and hen firms, Last Night of Freedom, is taking bookings for the star ahead of next year’s wedding season. Managing director Matt Mavir said: “Websites like Cameo and Memmo show people want closer interactions with celebs, so this feels like a natural evolution to that. “We believe celebrity stag and hen interactions could become the next big thing in the sector. “Increasingly, groups are seeking unique, immersive and memorable experiences, and this fits perfectly into that category – plus having Mr Motivator with you and your mates is going to light up your Instagram or TikTok. “Those now tying-the-knot grew up watching Mr Motivator, and he’s an icon. “He’s still got massive nostalgic appeal and you know that he’s going to be worth of every penny given his infectious personaility. “He’s fun, a great sport and he’s guaranteed to offer an experience that you and your friends will remember forever.” Mr Motivator – famed for his garish neon unitards - promises to lead stag and hen exercise classes and be the ideal "wingman" for the revellers. The keep-fit guru recently staged public workouts in Birmingham during the Commonwealth Games. Earlier this year he was awarded an MBE by Prince William for his services to health and fitness having staged online exercise classes during the Covid pandemic.
