76th Independence Day is being celebrated in the country. The main ceremony took place at the Red Fort in Delhi, where PM Modi hoisted the tricolor for the ninth time in a row. For the first time on Independence Day, India made howitzer cannon used for the salute, and for the first time flowers were showered from Mi-17 helicopters.
