More than 100,000kg of plastic removed from Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and US West Coast

Since starting in August 2021, the 'Ocean Cleanup' initiative has collected 101,353kg of plastic in 45 extractions, sweeping the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, an area comparable to the size of Luxembourg.
